A lively debate at AWARE's Budget Roundtable

Singapore Budget 2012's economic priorities reflect a set of social values that need re-thinking for a truly inclusive society. Tackling human trafficking in Singapore

In February, the Inter-agency Taskforce on Trafficking in Persons sought public feedback on the proposed National Plan of Action, which will guide Singapore's response to trafficking in persons from 2012 to 2015. This April 14 event is jointly organised by AWARE, the NUS Department of Malay Studies and Leftwrite Center LLP, and will focus on the need to go beyond the basic stipulations in the traditional marriage contract as a means of better protecting the rights of women entering a marriage.
